Responsibilities
  • Conduct review of policies relevant to the accountancy sector, considering inputs from technical and legal departments, and factors such as public interest, market readiness and broader whole-of-government objectives/direction. This includes conducting environmental scans to be updated on the latest practices and developments and comparison studies to benchmark Singapore's regulation against international best practice
  • Plan and conduct public consultation to gather feedback on proposed polices
  • Plan and conduct subsequent outreach (where necessary) to promote awareness and explain policy intent
  • Support ACRA's engagement with other regulatory bodies and in regional or international peer regulatory organisations. Key responsibilities include the preparation of briefing and presentation materials for meetings and/or conference calls
  • Staffing ACRA management on visits by stakeholders or invitations to speak at events (assessing the relevance and extent of ACRA's involvement, preparing briefing materials and presentation slides for meetings or speaking engagements)
  • Provide support in other specific projects/tasks assigned, such as research projects, publication and guidance relevant to the accountancy sector

Requirements
  • Qualifications in Accounting or related disciplines
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Prior policy formulation experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of the accountancy sector will be beneficial
