Finance Analyst

Description

This role is reporting in to Finance Manager.

The duties include:

• Supporting the governance, financial control and business & commercial objectives w.
• Analyse supplier performance against contracted service level agreements (SLAs) and raise any concerns.
• Analyse actual external spend compared to minimum agreed amounts in the contract to identify risks and opportunities.
• Recharge external spend internally and provide business partnering.
• Play a critical role in ensuring month-end financial reporting is completed accurately and timely.
• Assist with forecasting and budgeting.
• Prepare and maintain income statement presentation pack for the whole business
• Authorise journals having reviewed them and associated backup
• Analyse cashflow statement to provide insight about movements
• Analyse balance sheet to provide insight about movements
• Business partner the Supply Chain transport operation, including reviewing fleet billing data to identify cost opportunities
• Monthly transport deport P&L reporting
• Fixed asset reporting, including maintaining the local fixed asset register and capitalisation of assets
• Initial review of monthly outlook submissions prior to review with Senior Finance Manager

Profile

The successful candidate MUST:

• Have experience working in a similar role - Essential
• Be studying towards ACCA/CIMA - Desirable
• Have strong MS Excel including modelling - Essential
• Be analytically minded and enjoy manipulating data - Essential
• Have excellent communication and time management skills - Essential
• Be commercially minded - Essential

Job Offer

This role is looking to pay up to £35,000 per annum + Study support + Pension
