NEW Accountant role based in Auckland CBD

Your new company
Conveniently based in Auckland's CBD, this privately-owned commercial firm have grown successfully during the past few years in business and now boast a stable large client base across New Zealand. They are a small close knit team here in Auckland who need a committed Accountant to join and take full control of all internal finance processes.


Your new role
Reporting into the General Manager, you will be responsible for the full month end process including reconciliations, invoicing, account receivables, account payables and filing GST returns. The Accountant will monitor arrears, prepare year-end financial statements, meet all bank covenants, process payroll and track monthly spend on Capex against budgets. Furthermore you, you will ensure asset valuations are done efficiently and be looked upon to create forecasts and present financial modelling as requested to the executive Directors.


What you'll need to succeed
A degree qualification in finance alongside 2-3+ years' accounting experience within the commercial industry is essential. CA/CPA professional membership is desired, but not always necessary if you have the years' experience to prove your capability. You will be a complete self-starter and have experience working independently across a full month-end cycle. Also, systems experience using Xero or MYOB is preferred.
