About the role:

To support the Life team in performing the accounting for Life AU entities, including:
  • The provision of quality and timely information and reporting, safeguarding the financial assets of the Life AU business and meeting all regulatory and statutory financial reporting requirements
  • Ensuring that financial risks are identified, managed and mitigated
  • Contributing to best practice system and process design and operation to facilitate efficient use of data by downstream users (ie Actuarial, Tax and Management Reporting).
  • Debits, credits, ledger and balance sheets.

Key Capabilities:
  • General technical accounting skills and knowledge
  • A good level of professional business acumen (written and oral) and communication skills
  • Good organisational and management skills, including planning, budgeting, time management, coordination, implementation, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Good relationship skills, including the ability to work with various internal and external partners to achieve business objectives

Qualification/s required:
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce - BCA / BBS (Com) or equivalent
  • CA or CPA
