About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Risk and Assurance Management professional in a key role supporting the Manager, Risk & Assurance, with the effective management, coordination and delivery of Enterprise Risk & Assurance across CFA. The position focusses on providing expert advice in relation to the identification and management of risks and supporting internal audit planning and processes.
You will be responsible for assisting with the implementation, coordination and maintenance of the CFA Risk Management Framework, including the annual review and improvement process. You will assist with the risk reporting process for Executive, Board sub-committees and the Board and provide authoritative advice, support and guidance to Directorates, Teams, Regions and Districts on the interpretation and practical application of risk and assurance within CFA.
Further responsibilities will be to maintain and update CFA's Enterprise Risk Register including monitoring treatment actions and control effectiveness and assisting with the maintenance and administration of risk software.
Additional, detailed responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring compliance with the relevant Ministerial Standing Directions and preparing the required attestation documentation.
• Preparing, maintaining and implementing an audit work program, that sets out the key areas of internal audit work for the year and rolling three-year period
About You:
To succeed in this key role, you will possess either qualifications or suitable experience in Risk and Assurance Management or a related discipline with professional qualifications and/ or membership of relevant industry professional associations being especially desirable. You will have a sound knowledge of risk and assurance concepts, theory and practice, specifically ISO31000, the Victorian Government Risk Management Framework and the Standing Directions 2018 under the Financial Management Act 1994 and an ability to identify multiple potential solutions to problems and recommend options to a wide range of decision-makers.
You will also have proven experience in commercial/contract and project management and excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to take complex information, gather insights, and present it to a range of audiences in an easy to understand way.
