Group Finance Manager required for a maternity cover, based in Keynsham, Bristol.
The Role

For the first 2-3 months, this role will initially be involved in supporting the Group Finance Manager with the preparation of non-UK VAT returns, liaising with tax advisors and the production of VAT reconciliations.

The role will then become the main point of contact for the in-country teams and any group accounting and tax related queries, developing a strong rapport with colleagues within the head office support function becoming the main point of contact for any group accounting and tax related queries. You will be responsible for delivering month and year end accounting and VAT compliance, whilst also managing the resourcing, recruitment, development and training of the team; focusing on increasing levels of efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail in our processes.

Applicant Requirements
  • Completed their professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or similar)
  • Several years' experience post-qualification, with evidence of CPD
  • Experience in accounting roles in similar organisations and in managing a team
  • Excellent IT skills including advanced excel, and confident on various management reporting systems
  • Strong attention to detail, reconciliation skills and able to deliver right-first-time results efficiently
  • European VAT compliance and cross border transaction experience
  • Project management experience
  • Previous European country accounts / Complex VAT experience or knowledge
