This brand new school requires an ambitious Maths Graduate Academic Coach who has a genuine desire to pursue a career in education. You will be joining a team of likeminded graduates, who are looking to build strong relationships with the students and really make a difference!
Maths Graduate Academic Coach
This state-of-the-art school are looking for an ambitious Maths Graduate who has achieved a 2:1 or higher in a relevant Maths based degree. Ideally this role would suit a Maths graduate who wants to gain paid experience prior to embarking on a teacher training course in September 2019. The school has high expectations and is looking to propel their students into a success, whether that be in their career or university choice.
You play a pivotal role as an additional inspirational role, using your personal experiences of university and experiencing the wider world to encourage these students to become culturally aware and ambitious to push themselves to reach their potential.
This role will have you initially working with small groups and on a one to one basis supporting learners in Maths. This could mean working with children on the C/D border line or even with those who are expecting to gain an A to A* grade. The Head of Maths leads a successful department and is looking for an ambitious graduate to join their supportive Maths Department. The Head of Maths will be your mentor throughout your time at the school and will allow you to access plenty of training, in order to allow you to develop as a teaching assistant who aspires to become a teacher in the future.
After an induction period you will be given the opportunity to take a cover lesson a day, in order to practice and refine various teaching strategies and behaviour management techniques, which will increase over time to ensure you are fully equipped before training to teach. Therefore, it is essential that you are confident, ambitious and flexible to be successful in this role!

- Minimum 2:1 degree in Maths - must be confident to support Maths up to A Level
- Up to £325 per week
- Starting September 2018 - interviews being held as soon as possible
