Accounting Manager

Viome is seeking a highly talented, extremely smart and effective Accounting Manager to join our Finance team in Bellevue, WA. In this position, you will manage various accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, business taxes, audit, and related reporting and analysis. You will develop, evaluate and improve accounting processes compliant with GAAP and applicable laws and regulations and manage support staff in the day to day performance of their jobs. The ideal candidate enjoys rolling up their sleeves, jumping into the financial weeds, and being a team player in a fast-paced, start-up environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, comfortable working autonomously, flexible and adaptable, and highly motivated.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close process and assist with generating accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare and/or review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
• Supervise the A/P and the Accounting & Payroll specialist team members
• Responsible for all fixed asset activity and inventory management and control
• Oversee business taxes including state and local taxes, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements and tax filings
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, controls, policies and principles
• Assist with the development and improvement of accounting processes, systems, and infrastructure to scale with business growth
• Administer the corporate credit card program
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA preferred
• 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role; audit experience with a public accounting firm desired
• Strong industry experience in general ledger/financial reporting
• Solid working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• System savvy; ERP implementation experience a plus; NetSuite experience also a plus
• Start-up and large scale company experience preferred; subscription-based industry experience a plus
