Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Springfield, MO 65803
Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Description:

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for a team of two employees including performance metrics, accountability, mentoring, and counseling
• Oversee day-to-day activities of accounting staff, including journal and reconciliation review activities
• Responsible for general ledger and administration operation for Accounting Department including trial balance upload and validation
• Build, design, implement and document processes and controls for Accounts Receivable
• Work on non-routine projects, e.g., process re-engineering, cross-team projects, material reconciliation problems, and system implementations
• Work with accounts receivable team to prepare account reconciliations and independently research exceptions and identify and draft non-recurring journals
• Responsible for partnering with Client Customer Payments, Product and Support Operations, Payment Processors and Acquiring Banks for maintenance and changes to Customer Payment Processing
• Ad hoc duties as assigned
• Experience and Qualification:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting operations
• Strong PC proficiency including but not limited to All MS Office applications and experience with ERP Software, Oracle) is preferred
• SQL experience is preferred
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work with minimal direction, alone or in a team environment
• Knowledge of accounts receivable processes
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a high production environment, ability to visualize, articulate, and tackle payment problems
