Job Description

Under the direction of the AVP Global AML Audit, the Senior Audit Group Manager Global AML assists with the development and execution of the annual audit plan. This includes all reporting requirements to management and various committees as well as a key point of contact and for all key stakeholders. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for the people management responsibilities and development of a team of AML/BSA internal audit professionals. Finally, the candidate will help to oversee all strategic, innovation and data analytics projects for the advancement of the internal audit activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Oversee audit engagements including planning activities, execution of field work and completion of audit reports.
  • Provide AML/BSA/OFAC subject matter expertise, this includes industry best practices as well as key regulatory requirements with regards to the areas of AML/BSA/OFAC and Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption ( ABAC).
  • Actively manage, schedule and plan the audit work to meet the annual audit plan,
  • Present objective and independent audit opinion on the adequacy of internal controls; including presentation of findings and recommendations to clients and audit management;
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development to a team of audit AML/BSA professionals.
  • Help to innovate and oversee the strategic initiatives and projects for the group including the advancement of our AML/BSA audit programs and data analytics strategies.
  • Building effective partnerships with key stakeholders both internal and external to Audit Division.


Requirements

  • Multiple years of AML/BSA industry and audit experience is required in a management oversight role
  • A business and/or finance accreditation including CPA, MBA, FRM, CFA and CAMS designation.
  • The ability to grasp and translate AML/BSA requirements, to think independently, and to take the initiative required to present alternatives to resolve issues
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve objectives
  • Strong understanding of the audit process and audit methodology/approaches, as well as regulator expectations for the Internal Audit function
  • Demonstrated effective project management and organization skills to lead large projects/initiatives with good attention to details
  • Ability to generate ideas, think strategically, and think "outside-the-box" for an innovative audit approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate working with audit teams, senior audit management, and business partners at all levels
  • Excellent skills to communicate clearly and openly both verbally and in writing (prior policy writing experience is an asset
