School Accountant - Dorset - £30-36K

Bond Williams Accounting and Finance are recruiting an Accountant for a private school in Dorset. The position reports to the Finance Director and works as part of a small team.

You would oversee an Accounts Assistant and have a broad range of responsibilities including:
* Nominal ledger
* Cash book and bank accounts
* Cash flow forecasting
* Processing credit card statements
* Billings/sales ledger and credit control
* Overseeing purchase ledger
* Fixed asset register
* Annual audit
* VAT returns
* Liaising with payroll bureau
* Insurance returns
* Accounts for a small trading company

In time you would have the opportunity to produce management accounts, become involved with annual budgeting, financial projects and other ad hoc financial work.

To be considered for this position you will need to have several years accounting experience gained in either industry or practice, a good level of IT skills, particularly with accounting and on line banking software and Excel. AAT qualification and/or on going CIMA or ACCA studies desirable and study support would be provided. You will also need to have good communication skills, strong attention to detail and supervisory skills.
