Bethel Accounting Team serves the accounting and financial reporting needs of Bethel Church.
As Accounting Manager you will be:
- Managing the day-to-day accounting operations and leading the monthly close cycle
- Maintaining a system of internal controls, policies and procedures
- Ensuring the accurate reporting of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP
- Performing ongoing detailed analysis of transactions and financial data
- Preparing financials statements and internal management reports
- Review, research and document complex accounting transactions, changes and developments
- Leading team members in personal and professional development
- Supporting ministry and department leaders with information, tools and training resources
- Recommending new processes and workflows that increase operational efficiency
Requirements
- A CPA or CPA Candidate
- At least 5 years full-cycle accounting experience
- 2-3 years' audit-assurance experience
- 2-3 years' non-profit accounting experience
- Working knowledge of non-profit tax, legal and compliance
- Advanced understanding of accounting systems and technology
- A problem solver and a critical thinker who enjoys accounting
- An effective leader with a passion for personal development
- An individual with an exceptional degree of personal and professional integrity
- Exceptionally organized and highly efficient with personal time management
- Known for having excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Naturally self-motivated and able to work independently and successfully as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changes and take on new responsibilities as the organization grows
- Good, solid, dry sense of humor is a plus
- This position is located in Redding, CA
