Job Title: Compliance Assurance Advisor - 18-month Fixed Term contract

Base location: Home-based

Salary: Up to £36,000

As the Compliance Assurance Advisor you will be principally responsible for supporting the Head of Compliance Assurance and Compliance Assurance Manager with managing the end-to-end Compliance Assurance program across the UK&E Division. This role will play a key role in assisting the design and implementation of Serco's compliance and assurance culture across the division as well as measuring and reporting on its effectiveness, thereby reducing risk and evidencing assurance of compliance.

In this role we'll be looking for you use your experience to provide assistance to the wider ERM team to develop a Compliance Assurance Plan (CAP) and Strategy for the Division in line with Group policy that delivers adequate assurance across our control environment (including material risks, SMS, legal and contractual requirements). You'll be involved in the delivery of the risk-based CAP and implementation of minimum compliance assurance quality, standards and operating procedures articulated in the SMS across the division in support of the Bi-annual divisional Compliance Statement.

You'll also support the ERM Function in delivery of the Integrated Assurance Reviews including preparation leading the delivery, maintaining working papers, preparing reports, entering reports onto ASSURE and working with the contracts and SMEs to track actions to completion.

What you'll need to do the role

Firstly, you will have a good understanding of the corporate needs of organisations of a similar size and breadth in compliance and risk. You will be experienced in some relevant fields including compliance, policy development and monitoring or reporting role, and understand compliance process/theories/practice. You will have a diplomatic and collaborative manner with the technical knowledge and drive to successfully influence and implement change. Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills and ability to deal with conflict. Lastly, the ability to deal with conflict and to work with stakeholders in a collaborative manner to ensure that issues are identified, and suitable, sustainable solutions achieved.
