The Credit Portfolio Manager is an intermediate management-level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees responsible for daily limit and exposure monitoring of counterparty credit risk while providing support to Risk management partners. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate management of Citi's portfolio exposure to client and counterparties globally.

The role a pplies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits, strong collaboration across the larger management teams, both regionally and globally.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage small team of analysts responsible for daily tasks associated with limit and exposure monitoring.
  • Monitors credit/risk exposure relative to credit limits established.
  • Monitors and reports various obligor and product level credit limits and risk appetite metrics like credit exposure, concentration risk, cross-border risk
  • Reviews credit facilities and documentation for changes
  • Ensures risk exposure is accurately reflected in various risk applications
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Contribute to the development of new techniques, improvement of processes and work-flows by applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge and integrating subject matter and industry expertise
  • Develop recommendations to adjust credit policies by analyzing credit and financial performance and utilizing statistical scoring, segmentation, and regression and simulation techniques
  • Research customer and/or management queries using risk systems and data and support ad-hoc risk policy analyses and projects, as required
  • Participate in developing, testing, and optimizing credit policies, ensuring consistency and regulatory compliance, and assist in the implementation of those policies, processes and other related initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Proven ability to work independently and be self-starter
  • Proven ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with urgency
  • Proven organizational, interpersonal, time management and analytical skills, with excellent attention to details
  • Intermediate technical skills including intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
