Management Accountant
Salary: £35000 - £40000
Location: Pontefract
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Management Accountant to join a growing business. My client is a leading manufacturing business operating in the food sector where provision of a high level of customer satisfaction is one of their core values. Working as part of a team and reporting to the Financial Controller your duties will be varied and include the following;
THE ROLE:
*Preparation of monthly management accounts to include journals, prepayments, accruals and fixed asset register/depreciation
*Reconciliation to weekly reporting and explaining variances
*Balance sheet reconciliations
*VAT returns
*Assist with the production of Board pack
*Production of short term forecast P&L
*On time and accurate reporting of financial results including stock reconciliations, variances to standards and labour variances
*Work with production team to ensure accurate data capturing
*Establish and maintain a weekly cost model to enable various reporting
*Approve purchase ledger payment run
*Preparation of daily production schedules to enable daily variances to standards
*Ad hoc reporting as required
THE CANDIDATE:
You will be Qualified or Qualified by Experience with a solid all round background in financial and standard costing gained within a manufacturing environment. My client are looking for a team player with experience of liaising with non finance personnel.
