The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm’s books and records and by contributing to Firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley’s various industry and government regulators and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley’s various businesses and its senior management team
The local real estate controller team is providing financial support on the management of the Morgan Stanley SGR Company and the Real Estate Funds. The Italian Asset Management Company managed 6 Real Estate Fund (Asset under management approx. Eur 1.1. billion and 3 SPV’s owned by the Funds).
The main activities are: Financial statement production, Tax and Vat reporting, Regulatory reporting (Banca of Italy and AIFMD), Treasury, Funds accounting, investors reporting and distributions.
Responsibilities include: bookings entries, record invoices, data entry, reconciliations of invoice and accruals, payments (check the payment support and request the necessary authorizations), local tax accomplishments, preparing draft of regular reports and support the regulatory reporting process, check periodically the prospective liquidity, verify compliance with commitments set out in loan agreement.
