Senior Management Accountant - Pricing

Would you like to play a key part in Dreadnought Pricing? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Management Accountant - Pricing at our site in Barrow-In-Furness.

As a Senior Management Accountant - Pricing, you will be Responsible for the delivery of project related financials ensuring appropriate adherence to Business financial controls and governance process.

This role will provide you with the unique opportunity to support the pricing of a first of class Submarine and the development of a key UK defence priority. Career development is supported & encouraged. The role will offer exposure to senior personnel within the Submarines business.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Management Accountant - Pricing will involve:

Providing challenge into a cross-functional team to ensure robust bids are prepared that can secure internal approval. This role will offer exposure to Finance and Commercial leadership within the Submarines business

Developing relationships in customer community to ensure affordability of bids is understood. There is potential for trips to Abbey Wood, Bristol, to support negotiations

Tracking the status of active and future bids to derive accurate Order Intake forecasts for monthly reporting with associated risks and opportunities

Providing a link between Pricing and Programme Finance teams to ensure the financial impact of bids is understood and captured in business KPI forecasts

Supporting Dreadnought programme governance and compliance activities

Being responsible for the production of Contract Status Reports and Sales Trading Plans, supporting FCAC (Forecast Cost at Completion) exercises

Ensuring adherence to business financial controls and governance process

Deputising for Finance Manager

Ensuring Contract financial deliverables are produced and submitted in a timely manner.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Previous Pricing / Long term contract accounting experience

Commercial accounting experience at the front end of contracting

Highly analytical with strong attention to detail

Business partnering experience

Able to reliably deliver against fixed deadlines

CIMA or ACA or ACCA qualified

Desirable

Previous experience within a customer facing role

Experience of acquisition of new work and/contracts

Salary: £40 000 + Commensurate with experience
