Responsibilities:
- Oversee various aspects of the accounting and finance operations and reporting of assigned entities
- Preparation of financial reports and financial statements in compliance with FRS
- Preparation of management reports, project status, cost analysis, forecast and budgets tracking
- Ensure annual statutory audits are carried out smoothly
- Tax computation and GST submission
- Co-ordinate and liaise with clients' audits
- Maintain internal controls and ensure procedures are adhered and updated
- Assist in consolidation of accounts
- Manage and supervise daily operations on receipts, payments, accounts receivables and payables
- Maintain fixed assets register, ensure tagging, updates and depreciation/amortisation computation
- Maintain chart of accounts
- Maintain accounting systems, backup and schedule processing
- Prepare monthly journals, adjustments for accounts closing and reporting
- Prepare/review audit and tax schedules, ensure reconcilation with general ledger
- Review and reconcile payroll
- Ensure GST are properly accounted for and prepare/review GST submissions
- Check daily bank balances, direct receipts and deductions
- Check and review all intercompany transactions are properly accounted for
- Ensure intercompany balances are correct and reconciled
- Monitor cost centres performance, costing and forecasts/budgets
- Review transactions are properly authorised, coded and complete
- Review payment vouchers, receipts and reimbursements
- Review and direct billings, revenue and cost recognition
- Prepare/review accrual listings, and follow up on deferred revenue listing
- Assist in forecast and budget preparation
- Review matching of cost and revenue
- Ensure timely preparation of reports
- Liaise and ensure smooth conduct of internal and external audits
- Tax computation and annual filing of tax returns and accounts
- Cashflow projections, management of receivables and payables
- Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Degree in Accounting, ACCA
- Minimum 3 years relevant working experience
- Prior working experience in Malaysia
- Familiar with Malaysia taxes
- Computer literate and proficient in accounting software
