Practice Accountant - Bandon, Cork

My client is an independent medium-sized firm of accountants based in Co Cork who have over 40 years of experience in providing professional advice to clients from all business sectors. The practice provides a full range of accountancy, audit, and taxation services to a diverse portfolio of individual and corporate clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified/part qualified accountant with a background in practice (essential).

The role will offer the successful candidate exposure to a variety of clients from medium-sized companies to sole traders, partnerships, and high net worth individuals with good opportunities for progression.

Key Responsibilities:

· Preparing year end accounts to partner review stage

· Responsible for a portfolio of clients

· Maintain and build client relationships

· Personal and corporate tax returns

· Design and implement audit plans where required

· Monthly management accounts

· Managing work of juniors and semi-seniors and responsibility for training new hires to the team

· Complete assignments, adhering to internal and external standards and deadlines.

Requirements:

· ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified (part qualified) practice accountant with circa 4 to 5 years previous experience

· Strong audit and accounts preparation experience

· Ambition to drive career

· Desire to learn, improve and understand new methodologies

· Strong communication skills

· Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

· A focus on developing a long-term career in Practice
