My client in the eCommerce space have an immediate need for a Revenue Accountant to start asap.

The role will report to the Revenue Manager, initially a contract role but the team is growing rapidly so there is lots of potential.

Key tasks will include but not be limited to:
  • Conducting analysis of complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, guarantees & sales returns provisions
  • Ownership of a portfolio of customers from a revenue and margin perspective. This will require you to gain a deep understanding of the retailer and revenue / margin streams
  • Develop relationship with the Commercial finance and Taxation teams
  • Where not in place develop SOP documentation
  • Weekly reporting and financial reconciliation
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and investigations
  • Analysis and commentary on performance on a monthly basis
  • Monthly reviews of Balance Sheet and Income Statement including commentary against budget and forecast P&L reporting on a monthly basis to tight deadlines
  • Business partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to implement new and efficient processes and effective controls

The ideal candidate will be:
  • Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • 2+ years in a similar role would be a significant advantage
  • Experience with revenue accounting/management
  • Proven track record of suggesting and implementing process improvements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to change
  • Ability to meet weekly and monthly deadlines
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
