A very successful and expanding firm of Accountants in Barry, is seeking a professional Bookkeeper to work on and manage a diverse portfolio of client accounts.
The main duties of the role will include -
This role is ideally suited to a candidate who has previously worked in practice and who is keen to carry on their career in this environment. The successful candidate will be client facing and confident with working off site in clients' offices.
The main duties of the role will include -
- Managing a portfolio of SME clients in a variety of sectors and administering their accounts function
- Working on behalf of sole traders, Partnerships and small to medium sized Limited Companies
- Bookkeeping duties to include producing sales, purchase and nominal ledgers to trial balance level
- Preparing cash books, reconciling bank accounts and investigating any anomalies that occur
- Calculating, preparing and producing client quarterly VAT returns and HMRC payments
- Assisting with the production of year-end accounts and statutory annual submissions
- Visiting clients on site
