About the Role:
We are looking for a highly qualified Chartered Accountant with years of experience to lead a team of accountants. The Director, Pakistan Accounting is a key role in the company to ensure compliance with both local and US GAAP and to provide local leadership to the Pakistan Accounting Team and is responsible for implementing accounting systems and processes, preparing monthly financial reports, and ensuring a timely close process. This role will serve as a subject matter expert in local statutory requirements and accounting matters.
What You'll Do:
Assist in the preparation for and completion of both local and US-based audits Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory filings Manage and improve the monthly/quarterly/annual close process so that 5 day close deadline are met Develop and implement internal controls over financial reporting for the Pakistan accounting function in support of worldwide implementation of SOX Oversee fixed assets, payroll, and other general ledger accounting for Pakistan operations and ensure timely and accurate account reconciliations Monitor funding needs and cash flow projections for the Pakistan operations Serve as a business partner in Pakistan to answer questions and educate local employees on strong internal controls and sound accounting practices Manage five existing team members, responsible for identifying additional skill sets/resources needed, and hiring competent accounting staff Collaborate with FP&A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data
What We're Looking For:
Preferably Masters degree or Bachelor in Finance or Accounting Chartered Accountant /ACCA or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required Experience managing/building a team of 4+ accountants 4+ years Big 4 public company experience as an auditor 6+ years of experience working directly or indirectly for a US company Public company experience
