Job Description:
High level role expectations / Management level definitions
Global Procurement (GP) is organized across Category Management and Procurement ops team with Microfocus. Role in question is responsible to manage procurement ops team in value chain, mentoring and training team members to deliver and attain growth. Own and deliver team KPIs in meeting organization objectives and support category teams in operational activities. Team also consists of activities related to card program which needs close monitoring and guidance.
Applies foundation of a function's principles, theories and concepts to assignments of wider procurement delivery scope. Uses professional concepts and knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience. Develops expertise and practical knowledge of applications within business environment. Acts as team leader by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. Works on assignments that are highly complex in nature where a strong degree of independent judgment, initiative and technical knowledge are required to resolve problems. Work is completed independently and has ability to handle most unique situations
Responsibilities
• Provides procurement operations, focusing on basic commodities that require limited technical expertise.
• Collaborates with team members across the organization to meet commodity objectives, business controls, and compliance requirements.
• Develop team to achieve defined KPIs and mentor when required
• Has regular & need-based team meetings & one-on-one communications with team members, and cascades information between Senior Management & team.
• Actively lead and manage projects to increase efficiency of the Operations
• Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs, Follow governance structure in projecting team performance to Senior Management
• Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
• Manage internal and external audits for process compliance and provide evidences when required
• Recruit, train and supervise staff
• Increase end user satisfaction through process improvements and customer centric process
Education and Experience
• First level university degree or equivalent experience. A masters degree is a plus
• Typically 12-14 years of experience in procurement or supply chain function, preferably in a delivery team lead role
Knowledge and Skills
• Excellent communication skills in English is must and in any European language is desired
• Expert understanding of procurement delivery processes and Card Management processes. Should have exposure to global P2P operations
• Developed analytical and technical aptitude.
• Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role & Leadership ability
• Expertise in MS Office
Impact/Scope
• Works across multiple countries and businesses on an extensive basis.
• Assigned experienced procurement delivery responsibilities.
