Your new company
Your new company is a state government organisation based in Parramatta CBD. Due to increased business demands, there is a need for an experienced and confident Finance Business Partner to join this organisation for a 3 month contract with probable extension.
Your new role
Your new role as a Finance Business Partner will see you support a large business unit with multiple stakeholders. This role requires someone with a true business partner mentality who has a strong understanding of technical accounting but focuses on the overall strategic plans of the business unit.
Your role will be to support the Finance Manager in the following duties:
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you must have a strong mix of analytical, commercial and communication skills. This role requires the successful candidate to liaise with 20+ stakeholders and therefore the manager needs an assertive and confident communicator. CA/CPA is essential along with experience in SAP and advanced excel skills.
What you'll get in return
In return for this role you will receive a 3 month temporary contract with probable extension. You will earn an hourly rate of $60-65 + Super dependent on experience.You will work in a modern office conveniently located near Parramatta train station.

- Preparation of the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Support and supervise the Finance Officers in the preparation of month-end close and reporting
- Liaise with various managers to understand business needs and support them with their financial requirements
- Provide guidance and advice to non-financial stakeholders through extensive analysis and reporting to ensure optimum performance
