The Global Markets Trading Portfolio team, within our Internal Audit Division, offers a fantastic opportunity for experienced auditors to work with one of our most dynamic and varied operating groups, Commodities and Global Markets (CGM). From trading desks interacting with a global client base, to a specialised asset financing business that operates across a diverse range of sectors, CGM offers Global Markets auditors the chance to develop their auditing skills in a truly dynamic environment. Working as part of our Risk Management Group your audits will lead to tangible improvements to the Groups management of risk. You will achieve this while working within a global team from a diverse range of backgrounds, all of whom have deep knowledge and expertise in financial services and related areas.

As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will lead assessments of the quality and effectiveness of the internal control framework, risk management and governance systems. You will partner with the broader Risk Management team and executives across the group, contributing to the continual improvement of the overarching risk management framework.

Key to your success in this role will be your strong knowledge of internal audit, including direct exposure to the capital markets and financial instrument trading environment. Relevant experience will be considered from an external audit, consultancy or banking environment, and a strong grasp of audit methodology will be essential.

You will be comfortable in dealing with several senior stakeholders across multiple business units and should be able to demonstrate the ability to influence when required. You will have excellent communication skills and possess the ability to liaise with and influence stakeholders at all levels.

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
