The purpose of this role is to work within the Commercial Finance team as part of the internal National Finance Office of RSM UK. 

The role will involve aspects of financial analysis, data manipulation and the development and production of management reports, and financial administration in support of the Commercial Finance operation across a selection of RSM’s business faculties within the UK. It will also include involvement in month end reporting cycle and the annual budgeting process.

Responsibilities

  • To develop a thorough understanding of the business and its internal finance reporting systems and methodologies
  • Apply business understanding to enable improved operational performance to be delivered within the region through the production of meaningful and accurate management information and reports
  • To assist, as required, the Commercial Finance Leads in their support of RSM’s different business faculties, providing assistance in identifying and highlighting aspects for performance improvement in areas such as:
  • Financial related working practices
  • Efficient use of resources
  • Working capital management
  • Profitability on jobs
  • Adopt best practice in the production and use of management information 
  • Develop an understanding of the firm's culture and strategy and how change is achieved
  • Build excellent working relationships particularly with appropriate stakeholders and particularly other members of the Commercial Finance team 
  • Undertake specific related projects as agreed 

Minimum Qualifications

Professional and Personal qualities
  • A Level or equivalent including GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English or with some equivalent accountancy qualification or experience
  • IT proficient with strong MS Excel skills
  • A credible individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
