Our business tax professionals help businesses meet complex needs for UK tax reporting, compliance, planning, strategy and controversy. Our Cambridge team help clients through the changes of planning, financial accounting, tax compliance and maintaining effective relationships with the tax authorities. They work with organisations and individuals to structure transactions and operations in a tax-effective manner. This includes helping clients to mitigate tax risk, comply effectively with tax laws and take into account the prospect of change. The opportunity
The role means we can offer you the opportunity to gain experience of the mid-market and enhance your skills within a national markets context. Frequently you’ll be working with finance teams at clients to 'stand in' shoes of tax person.
As we seek to further grow the tax business and new contacts and engagements with businesses across the region, we are looking for tax professionals who excel at client relationships and who have the confidence and skills to win new work and clients. Business development skills, in terms of being able to go out and meet new contacts, understand their business needs and how we can add value to them by addressing those needs, is therefore a key requirement.
As a corporate tax professional working from EY’s Cambridge office you’ll provide a full range of tax services, comprising both compliance and advisory work. The varied work encompasses issues that include CFCs, loss relief, reorganisations, patent box, BEPs and international tax means ultimately this role will offer broad experience with significant exposure to senior stakeholders, responsibility in key decisions and a more varied portfolio to help you develop your career with EY.
