Client Details
The client is one of the most reputable and best recognised organisations in Cambridge is looking to bring on a Finance Systems Project Lead - FTC on a part time basis up to 30 hours a week. With opportunity to work from home initially this role will be a hybrid with flexible working from the office and from home. This finance transition is of vital importance to the business and will be well supported by other departments and stakeholders. Ideal for anyone able to commute to Cambridge on a regular basis from the local or wider area such as Huntingdon, Bury St. Edmunds or North Herts.
Description
The Key Responsibilities for the Finance Systems Project Lead - FTC will be:
- Acting as the Project Manager during the transition and implementation of a new Finance System (Sage 200)
- Working with internal stakeholders to identify any reporting needs from the system
- Liaising with external stakeholders and implementation team to ensure system is built to cover business requirements
- Future planning requirements for the system in line with forecasted growth
- Designing and writing robust processes around the new system and managing the change over process
- Responsibility of data migration from current system to new with oversight of accuracy of information and communication between the two systems
- Undertake the implementation of the new finance system working closely with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth process
- Resolving any issues following implementation
- Training other members of staff on use of the new system
- Ad hoc work as required by Head of Finance
Profile
The ideal candidate for the position of Finance Systems Project Lead - FTC will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role or experience working on implementation projects
- Be immediately for a quick start, short notice periods considered (1 Week)
- Knowledge and experience of delivering complex finance systems
- Experience of leading data migration and integration
- History of either finance project or change management
- Understating of relevant legislation's
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Meticulous accuracy and attention to detail, working in an organised manner
- Knowledge of relevant computer systems (Sage 200, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Excel)
