The new members will be the part of the team dedicated to the VAT function. The role would be responsible for helping to prepare (i.e. production role) the quarterly UK VAT group return. This involves monthly task, including:

  • gathering data from various sources,
  • performing VAT calculations required, reconciliations and various other detailed production tasks
  • periodic updates to the system rules and logic
  • checking data feeds from various sources into the system are being captured correctly
  • reviewing reports produced and making necessary adjustments.
  • getting involved with both strategic and ad-hoc projects for VAT

You Offer

  • 1-3 years of VAT experience (preferred in consulting or in-house environment) and/or a strong background in Accounting, Finance with VAT settlements function
  • Knowledge of VAT booking rules and accounting rules
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft will be an advantage
  • Experience in reconciliation of the accounts
  • Strong academic credentials in Economics or Finance
  • Strong analytical- and research skills
  • High degree of proficiency in Excel, attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written)
  • Highly motivated and committed self-starter
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent people and great teammate skills with good communication style
  • Experience in working in an international multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to self-start, manage timelines
