We have an Assistant Manager opportunity within our Treasury Product Control, International Finance team.

Based in our Singapore branch this role is being offered initially as a 10-12 month contract with the possibility of extension.

The International Finance team is responsible for the independent oversight, product control and financial control of the International businesses. As Assistant Manager you will support the business across multiple Asian locations (Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing) with daily P&L reporting, P&L attribution and commentary, period end reporting, General Ledger reconciliations. You will be involved in projects and new product approvals and provide finance related advice where appropriate.

Working with stakeholders from multiple jurisdictions you will be exposed to different strategies and products adopted across the Asian region, and have the opportunity to drive process efficiencies and work standardisation.

This role primarily supports the Asian Finance team and requires a strong controls mindset and attention to detail, with responsibilities including:

  • Provision of accurate and timely daily P&Ls supported by risk based attributions and commentary;
  • Month end reporting including providing insights into P&L drivers in monthly reporting packs, balance sheet attestation, regulatory reporting and contribution to Group statutory accounts;
  • Active involvement in planning and forecasting and provision of management information including expense analysis;
  • Understanding of Transfer Pricing, Liquidity and hedge accounting impacts;
  • Drive continuous improvement in the control environment, operating processes and productivity and innovation;
  • Provision of valued finance and reporting advice to the business to cover strategic initiatives and support the development and implementation of new products; and

    • We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • At least 4 years experience in a product control role;
  • Familiarity with Treasury functions including asset-liability management, regulatory requirements, interest rate risk management, liquidity, funds transfer pricing and hedge accounting;
  • Strong understanding of debt securities and derivative products;
  • Strong knowledge on Microsoft Office applications (esp. Excel and Access);
  • Knowledge with Tableau and coding (particularly Python) is highly regarded;
  • Previous experience with PeopleSoft, Midas, Wall Street or Murex is highly preferred; and
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
