Accounts Technician / Assistant Accountant

A growing accountancy practice based in Wells is searching for a qualified AAT / part ACCA, or experienced only, Accounts Technician / Assistant Accountant to join the firm with increasing responsibility and career development on offer, as part of this successful team.

Based in Wells this growing and successful firm of accountants acts for a wide ranging client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited company, OMB and SME clients, very varied in sectors and turnovers up into the £millions. The partners and managers within this successful team are looking for the right addition they can support offering increasing responsibility and technical development, with chance to progress and develop within an expanding firm of accountants

Description

Joining as an Accounts Technician / Assistant accountant you will be based in the firms offices in Wells. You will take responsibility for the delivery of the preparation of accounts from start to review stages, with wider bookkeeping, VAT, tax and general practice service provision to a varied client base along side this. You will be supported through further studies and encouraged to develop your career with increasing responsibility on offer as you progress within this firm and role.

• Preparation of year end accounts including tax computations (from sole traders to limited companies).
• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
• Preparation of personal self-assessed tax returns.
• Preparation and completion of monthly/quarterly management accounts.
• admin work including organising and filing of client records & paperwork.
• Helping other team members and giving advice.
• Management of own workload.

Profile

You may be AAT qualified or part way through your AAT, or part ACCA, or experienced only. You will have experience developed within the accountancy practice sector, with at least one to two years or more experience developed within a firm of accountants of any size across small, medium or large firm practice environment, undertaking any of accounts preparation tax, vat bookkeeping etc service provision.
You will be looking to further your career within a successful firm where you will progress and develop in your accounting career.

Job Offer
