About the job
The role has responsibility to provide technical and commercial support for all financial planning, analysis and reporting for the North region. The role will require travel to regional sites in accordance with duties

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
This role is a member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team within Financial Control and the primary function is to support the Regional Finance Business Partner.

The principal aspects of the role:
* Assisting the Finance Business partner with all their duties including the production and review of the Group consolidated management accounts providing insightful commentary
* Be responsible for the creation of practice level P&L reporting, variance analysis and forecasting
* Responsibility for the day-to-day query resolution and supporting ad-hoc reporting duties
* Create, understand and improve the processes relating to accounting transactions relating to the region, including their documentation
* Provide suggestions and support the culture of continuous improvement within the Finance division
* Deputise for the Finance Business Partner in any business partnering conversations/appointments
* Support in the creation of capex business cases
* Support the delivery of robust financial control, including development and implementation of improvements in processes and procedures.
* Highlight operational or financial risks and, where appropriate, supporting the resolution to minimising identified risks.
* Build efficient working relationships with business partners and their teams

About the ideal candidate
* Part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent);
* Good Excel skills;
* Good oral communication skills
* Good organisational skills.
