As a Portfolio Services Officer in Berwyn Pennsylvania ones responsibilities include the daily delivery of accurate reviewing and timely cash and position data to our clients. confirming the health of portfolios for trading, reporting and performance. Under the direction of the AVP/VP, monitors assigned accounts for issues associated with cash, settlements, ad-hoc processing, and client reporting and performs pre/ / post cycle reviews. Expected to work with reduced oversight to identify exceptions and escalate issues once appropriate research has been completed. This person will be highly regarded with an excellent track record in his or her current environment and must be a strong decisive results oriented individual who can develop and manage relationships across the company with a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork and knowledge.

What you will be responsible for

As Portfolio Services Middle Office, Officer you will

  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze diagnose design and implement solutions for complex clients.
  • Liaise with colleagues within the Berwyn, London, Australia and India SSC offices and divisions globally, where required, for query resolution
  • Act as the main point of contact for client queries relating to the Recordkeeping system and client file deliveries are tracked with proactive management to ensure timely response and resolution
  • Perform key Recordkeeping system functions
  • Perform an overview function for the Shared Services functions identifying operational trends issues and areas for improvement.
  • Perform work independently within scope of established guidelines and according to specific procedures and analyzes and recommends solutions to complex and non-routine issues and special projects.
  • Handle and resolve issues involving all operational and various IT areas (e.g. Asset servicing, Trader Support and Client Reporting)
  • Assist in the set up and transition process of new client accounts
  • Support and provide analysis for Client Change Request items impacting the Enterprise processes and Operating Models
  • Take ownership of issues to resolution, engage teams as needed to gain consensus and communicate progress.

  • For assigned accounts process month end close functions (validate Review and ‘sign-off on balances, review for non-base balances)
  • Identify data or accounts trends for discussion in group meetings.
  • Interact with all off’ internal middle office teams (Accounting, Corporate Actions, Trading, Performance)
  • Remain familiar with back-up procedures when system applications Change Specification Documents impacting Enterprise systems and/or transmission problems arise.
  • Cover various management functions and desk coverage when necessary.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of years of Middle Office and/or equivalent work Front Office support experience
  • Broad and in-depth understanding of the asset management industry, gained through working in a variety of asset management disciplines, including detailed knowledge on all types of financial instruments
  • Broad and in-depth understanding of standards, methodologies, processes, systems and technology necessary to support investment management operations.
  • Experience of writing and reviewing business specifications and data mapping.
  • Excellent analytical skills and Previous experience with Charles River Development a plus.
  • Knowledge of securities
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and attention to details skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Must be deadline oriented with the ability to analyze on the spot.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Strong writing, communication and presentation skills to audiences (internal and external) of different sizes and levels of seniority.
  • Must be self-motivated, adaptable and show initiative in different circumstances and under pressure.
  • Flexibility in working outside of your responsibilities and areas ofprovide technical expertise.
  • PC literate – Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word skills necessary to resolve daily problems.
