Your new team

You may join the Global Accounting Operations (GAO) Control team in Financial Shared Service Center Cracow (Poland), which provides a wide range of accounting services such as AP, AR, GL processes, analysis, control and reporting to multiple State Street Bank locations across the world.

Your scope of responsibilities: 

  • Establish and maintain global standards of risk management, governance and internal control.
  • Manage Errors, Losses and Complaints - define and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Manage the relationship with Senior Management, Audit and Compliance
  • Establish proper controls, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with operational and regulatory requirements, revise policies and procedures and provide input to ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirement
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned
  • Perform compliance and risk management projects proactively participate in strategic projects
  • Manage small team of Experts

What skills and experience we are looking for? 

  • Min. 7 years of experience in banking and accounting operations or relevant experience in compliance/audit with good knowledge of banking practices and accounting activities is preferable
  • Good understanding and knowledge of operational risk and internal control principles
  • Good understanding of the practical implementation of risk methodologies and solid experience within operational risk and control environment at a delivery and support level
  • Good judgment, mature, independent, responsible and detail-minded
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to challenge business owners regardless of hierarchy
  • Capable of managing multiple deadline with proven organizational skills
