SOCIAL GEAR is looking for a Company Accountant with ability of Japanese Language to join our growing team. This is an middle level role suitable for candidates looking to step into the media industry.

Responsibilities
  • Publish financial statements within 10 working days after every month end
  • Handle monthly and annual closings
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure timely bank payments
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Communicate with the auditors about the financial transactions and documents
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups according to HQ in Tokyo


Requirements
  • Work experience as an Accountant more than 3 years in Singapore
  • Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (ex. QuickBooks)
  • Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Experience with general ledger functions
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
  • Experience with computation oftaxes and preparation of tax returnsis a plus
