Assistant Management Accountant required to join this well established organisation. The Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management reporting for one or more legal entities. The Assistant Management Accountant will support the Management Accountant in the preparation of financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis also the internal and external stakeholders to work towards agreed SLAs.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant;

* Assist in the production of month end close process and reporting across all areas of the P&L and B/S ensuring the ledgers are all closed to strict deadlines
* Support the development of continuous improvement initiatives with the Finance team
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the P&L and B/S
* Calculate and post relevant journals to ensure the accounts are reflective of underlying financial performance and provide first line analysis and commentary
* Create effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Support the development of continuous improvement initiatives
* Assist in the adherence to agreed SLAs and KPIs to internal and external customers.
* Posting of journals across all areas of the P&L for allocated legal entity and BU
* Monthly production of P&L, Balance Sheet and Capex reporting for one or more legal entities in accordance with Group Finance timetable
* Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations per legal entity are completed accurately and in a timely manner including full reconciliation support and details of reconciling items and action required to remediate.
* Support the business with any ad-hoc information requests

Knowledge & Experience;

* Part Qualified studying for a recognised accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
* An ambitious individual and team player with a "can do" attitude
* Ability to actively engage business stakeholders and to respond to queries in a collaborative manner
* Minimum 12 months experience of working within a GL function at a similar level
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and to thrive under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations
* Strong analytical skills.
* Experience of completing account reconciliations.
* Ability to work methodically, accurately, and to deadlines with minimum supervision
* Experience of Oracle or similar ERP systems, intermediate to advanced Excel skills
