Finance Manager
Our client who is an NPO is looking to strengthen its Finance team by appointing an experienced finance professional to the position of "Finance Manager". Working closely with and reporting to the Financial Controller, this individual will contribute to a fast changing, dynamic and exciting organization with the ability to shape the function and streamline finance processes and activities.Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the finance department including
- Month and Year End Processes
- Accounts Payable / Receivable including ensuring transactions are coded correctly
- Bank receipts / payments
- General Ledger
- Cash Forecasting
- Revenue and Expenditure variance analysis
- Fixed asset activity
- Payment Runs
- Ensure Finance guidelines are being adhered to
- Prepare monthly and annual General Ledger entries in accordance to the relevant accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly closing reports, reconciliations and schedules such as bank reconciliation, updating of balance sheet and expense schedules, , updating of A/R aging summary.
- Monitoring and analysing accounting data and produce timely financial reports
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Review quarterly Project financial reports and identify / highlight any issues that need attention
- Coordinate / Support internal and external audit
- System coordinator for Finance systems such as Xero, Concur, Salesforce etc
- Support on adhoc financial projects and requests
- A bachelor's degree in an accounting field
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in an international commercial or NGO environment, working on accounting, budgeting and reporting.
- Able to multi task and a good team player
- Be highly organized, deadline-driven, and with a strong attention to accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- International experience managing and interacting with stakeholders across highly varied cultures and geographies.
- Outgoing and engaging personality.
