Main Objective of role:
- We are looking for a qualified Accountant to handle, prepare, compile, manage, research & analyse all accounting data, in order to provide quantitative information on performance, financial position, solvency, liquidity and cash flows of our business.
- Provides financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data, preparing reports.
- Preparation of the Group's financial analysis and performance review, cash flow, costing periodic forecast and budgeting
- Responsible to handle full spectrum of accounting functions and activities.
- Overseeing in preparation of consolidated accounts and ensuring the accounts are prepared accurately and timely for reporting to the top management.
- Review intercompany balances, reconciliation and ensure intercompany debit notes are issued.
- Assist and support the management in compiling audit, taxation schedule, analysis report and forecast.
- Compute taxes, prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/ loss statement and other reports.
- Coordinate & analyse financial results and business performance to be presented to Top Management.
- Monitor and check processes to ensure internal control is well in placed and effective and take corrective action as necessary.
- To ensure all procedures on payment are adhered to Company's policies.
- To maintain confidentiality of Institution and staff records.
- Handle GST Filing & reporting.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agent, solicitors, bankers, company secretary, other professional and regulatory bodies.
- Ensuring effective internal control procedures and compliance of accounting standards, company policies and statutory requirements.
- To enhance, develop, implement accounting policies and procedures including automation of process to maintain and strengthen internal controls, in order to improve the overall finance operations and effectiveness of the Group.
- Fast, flexible and effective solutions to ad hoc business needs will be an additional challenge.
- To perform general accounting related functions and ad-hoc duties and when assigned by Management.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a STPM/"A" Level/Pre-U, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Professional qualifications (ACCA/CIMA/MICPA) or equivalent.
- MUST be MIA/ACCA qualified.
- A member of MIA or CIMA will be an added advantage.
- Computer literate and possess knowledge of computerized accounting system.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, English (to liaise with associates)
- At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in consolidation of accounts.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good leadership, analytical & problem solving skills
- Excellent analytical skills, reliability, adaptable and able to work under pressure.
- Hardworking, aggressive and self-motivated.
- The position reports to the Group Director.
- Possess own transport and able to travel as required.
