Global Rental Company is currently looking for an Accountant in Birmingham, AL. This position analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss or other financial activities within an organization.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- One to three years accounting experience preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Responsibilities:
- Post entries to and reconciles the GL accounts
- Balances and prepares sales tax returns
- Assists in Annual Audit
- Works with Vertex for correct taxation of customers
- Supports the divisions with tax requests
- Renews business licenses
- Remits HVUT and IFTA taxes
- All other duties as assigned
