Job Description
Responsible for providing tutoring assistance for students within discipline area of expertise. Duties include assisting students with course work, test taking skills, and providing overall academic guidance. Variable work hours up to 27.5 per week. Work schedule to be arranged.

The hourly rate for this position is based on the following:

Non-degreed: $10.21
Associate degree: $11.20
Bachelor's degree or higher: $14.82

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Tutor students in the lab, especially within discipline of expertise.
  • Assist students with studying prior to exams.
  • Assist students with course selections, assignments, scheduling and placement.
  • Consults and advises within area of expertise.
  • Receive, make or transfer telephone calls.
  • Make photocopies and/or scan documents into the system.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

Non-degree to Bachelor's level of education can be accepted at varying pay rates per hour.

Some related experience required.


Tutoring experience preferred.

Reach and grasp objects.

Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Use of video display terminal.

Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skill.

Communicate information orally and in writing.

Receive and understand information through oral and written communication.

Proofread and check documents for accuracy.
