MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with short specialized training. Incumbent must have two (2) to three (3) years of related experience.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Incumbent must have a score of eighty (80) or above on the bookkeeping test administered by Classified Human Resources. This position requires acceptable office skills, including the use of computers, spreadsheet applications, and common business machines. Incumbent must have accuracy in checking, posting, and counting, and a professional working attitude. This position requires the ability to read, write, and converse fluently in English.
JOB PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
Incumbent performs complex bookkeeping procedures to account for Activity Fund and Grant monies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:
Perform other related duties as assigned; however, all employees are expected to comply with lawful directives in rare situations driven by need where a team effort is required.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position involves working in a standard office environment, which may be crowded and congested with considerable interfering noise levels. Computer use is required, and prolonged use may result in repetitive hand motion. This position may involve rare exposure to blood or body fluids. Regular attendance is required for this position.
PERSONAL WORK RELATIONSHIPS:
Incumbent reports directly to the principal or central office supervisor. Incumbent will provide guidance to staff, students, and the Central Administration Offices; consults frequently with various vendors and suppliers.

- Balance monthly reconciliation for activity accounts.
- Assists clerks in schools with questions and problems.
- Acquires through various agencies and sources data for file maintenance.
- Checks daily registers at the beginning and closing of schools.
- May make daily deposits.
- Secures enrollment reports from schools.
