Graduate Financial Analyst

Role Overview: As a Financial Analyst, you will be specialized in pricing, costing and financial structuring of Consulting and Outsourcing contracts across Accenture's Services: Accenture Strategy & Consulting, Accenture Interactive, Accenture Technology and Accenture Operations. As part of your role, you will work closely with the company's leadership and will have the opportunity to collaborate with different stakeholders such as sales, solution architects, legal and other finance teams to help shape large and complex deals in a dynamic and rewarding environment. The objective of the role is to act as business advisor to the different teams during the deal structuring and development phase, ensuring an optimum balance of risk and reward between Accenture and its clients. Responsibilities:
  • Support Accenture's sales teams in the development and submission of pricing proposals to clients.
  • Produce an accurate view of Accenture's sales, profitability and balance sheet position of contracts using Accenture's own financial models
  • Provide advice to deal teams on financial levers to improve contract financials.
  • Understand and apply accounting concepts and ensure compliance to the US GAAP Accounting standard.
  • Prepare and present general financial analysis, including calculation of analytics such average daily rates, resource mix, profitability, capital exposure, scenario analysis and financial deal shaping simulations.
  • Apply independent thinking, commercial and analytical skills to influence the creation of compelling business cases and financial value propositions for clients and Accenture.
  • Prepare and present contract financials in internal leadership approval meetings.
  • Working autonomously and independently managing timelines and deliverables.

  • Experience in MS Office suite with advanced skills in MS Excel (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to learn quickly in a challenging and rewarding environment
To be eligible you must:
  • Have completed a minimum of bachelor's degree in Commerce (Finance or Accounting major preferred) within the last two years
  • Be an Australian/New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident at the time of submitting your application.
  • Be located in Melbourne or be willing to re-locate to Melbourne.
  • Be available to meet travel requirements, when applicable. This may involve local, interstate or overseas travel for training or business development work. This will be discussed prior to confirming any travel.
