Are you a qualified accountant with post-qualification industry experience? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a changing and growing SME organisation as a Financial Controller.
Working closely with the Finance Director, your role will include managing a small finance team and supporting the overall finance function to improve overall efficiency and working in line with best practice.

Description
- Assisting the Finance Director in controlling a centralised accounting system to ensure the Accounts are effectively managed.
- Assist in producing critical financial reports
- Participate in the development of annual business and budget plans.
- Carry out examination of company costings and produce budgetary forecast / financial assumptions to complete annual business plan.
- Monitor departmental expenditure and company assets to ensure positive results that remain in line with business plan and budget expectations.
- Manage, control and report weekly cash movements.
- Ensure that monthly reconciliations and year end reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist the Accounts Department in the day to day accounting functions and maintain effective communication links with internal and external parties
- Group Financial Reporting
- Recommend changes and develop procedures that will improve the company's financial performance and controls.
- Effectively working with other management and company personnel to achieve business requirements.
- Manage and develop a small team
Profile
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant with minimum 3 years PQE
- Demonstrating the ability to problem solve and manage tasks effectively
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and support the overall finance team during a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in Group Reporting (IFR)
- Previous experience in stock/costing/reconciliations (advantageous)
- Excellent team player
