Transaction Expense Business Analyst

Team/Function Overview:

The Business Expense transparency group is a global function with the mandate of optimizing Transaction Expense costs and implementing best in class expense management practices.

The team supports multiple areas across the Transaction Expense base, including supply management, demand management, expense reporting, analysis and control, expense systems development and data transparency.

Role / Position Overview:

The Transaction Expense Business Analyst will join the Global Business Expense Transparency organization and will support the development and enhancement of Citi's Trade Cost Calculator and Analytics platform, which is a best in class system designed to provide insight into Citi's trading costs and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive trade analytics projects and manage them from inception to delivery

• Develop and enhance processes for carrying out reconciliations of trade expense analytics to 3rd party invoices

• Gathering requirements and analyzing new metrics to enhance existing reports and MI, as well as to implement new on-boarding requests

• Working closely with Technology throughout the Software delivery lifecycle to deliver new requirements and projects

• Assist in producing robust analytics and reports to identify expense trends and cost drivers for trading expenses

• Interact with the global efficiency, business transparency and operations teams to understand their functions and provide analytical guidance and advancements

Skills:

• Extensive relevant experience

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are pre-requisites

• Must have a good understanding of agile project management and the software development life cycle

• Strong database development capabilities. RDBMS and No SQL with database administration (DBA) experience and / or certifications

• Experience in Qlikview / Qliksense is desired.

• Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications; proficient MS Excel is a pre-requisite

• Ability to work in high pressure environment and manage deadlines with unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

• Confident under pressure with a strong desire to succeed

• Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

• Demonstrated leadership skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
