What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Partner with the business on operational and commercial matters as they pertain to accounting
  • Conduct detailed analyses and reviews of the business' financial statements
  • Manage the month-end close process for the business
  • Collaborate with external auditors on information requests
  • Research and prepare accounting documentation under application of U.S. GAAP

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • CPA certification
  • 7 years of experience in public accounting
  • Proficiency with Oracle G/L and Hyperion Financial Management

It'd be great if you also have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to develop insightful, valuable and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of those results; produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
