What you'll do on a typical day:
- Partner with the business on operational and commercial matters as they pertain to accounting
- Conduct detailed analyses and reviews of the business' financial statements
- Manage the month-end close process for the business
- Collaborate with external auditors on information requests
- Research and prepare accounting documentation under application of U.S. GAAP
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
- CPA certification
- 7 years of experience in public accounting
- Proficiency with Oracle G/L and Hyperion Financial Management
It'd be great if you also have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Ability to perform under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with ability to identify and resolve problems
- Ability to develop insightful, valuable and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of those results; produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
