Job Description
Senior Accounting Analyst
As the Senior Accounting Analyst you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. High-level analytical skills are a must. In addition to the solid compensation and benefits, this full-time position offers the possibility of growth.
As the Senior Accounting Analyst : How you will make an impact
- Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
- Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Produce monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
- Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
- Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
- Partake in various department-wide initiatives
- Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
- 5+ years of overall general accounting experience
- Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
- Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
- Foundational knowledge in Ad Hoc Financial Analysis
- General ledger experience
- Auditing experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
- Ability to meet deadlines
