Leads teams and performs basic to complex balance sheet reconciliations in
coordination with corporate accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leads teams and prepares asset, liability, and equity account entries by compiling and analyzing account information using Oracle r12 and Oracle Cloud ERP (Fusion).
• Reconciles account differences and provides adequate support for reconciling items such as bank statements and other relevant information.
• Reviews the work of junior staff and provides direction on projects as necessary.
• Provides feedback on reconciliation quality and accuracy.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity of account reconciliations and ensure all unreconciled items are resolved in a timely manner and escalated as necessary.
• Assists with the identification and follow up of dated and unusual reconciling items.
• Support annual audit requests.
• Maintain a service-led culture by delivering consistent quality of financial information to the division.
Knowledge:
• Expert knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting practices and principles
• Expert knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel and Office products.
• Extensive knowledge of Oracle r12 and Oracle Cloud ERP (Fusion).
• Problem solving and ability to communicate in a clear and concise fashion required.
• Hands on experience in accounting reconciliation tools in Oracle (ARCS) or similar tools helpful.
• Experience analyzing processes to determine areas for improvement, increased efficiency and cost reduction, supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders.
• Highly organized, diligent with attention to detail a must.
• High level of technical accounting competence required - ability to research and resolve accounting issues and ensure compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills, with a high focus on delivery in accordance with required deadlines.
• Exposure working within a global environment desirable.
