How will I help?

You will report to the Head of Audit for the Financial Crime and Compliance Portfolio and lead the team responsible for this area. You will be a member of the Group Audit Leadership Team that establishes and drives Group Audit's Strategic Priorities.
You will lead and manage an audit team responsible for developing and executing the audit plan for your assigned business unit. This will encompass engagement quality, raising the issues that matter, and developing deep client relationships whilst maintaining independence.

Key Accountabilities:
• You will be responsible for tracking audit issues through to resolution by management,
• You will be the People Leader for your Team; providing frequent feedback and professional guidance, delivering annual appraisals, ongoing coaching and providing individual career development opportunities. You will be involved in recruitment, induction and training programmes for your team.
• You will be responsible for attracting, training, developing and retaining top talent. You will maintain a team operating in a high performance culture that is well prepared for the future requirements of the roles.

What do I need?

We are looking for someone who ideally has the following knowledge and experience:

• Undergraduate degree and Graduate degree (MBA, Accounting, Finance or related field) and Chartered Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor preferred. Financial Crime qualification also desirable.
• At least 15 years of experience in internal audit or Big 4 accounting practice with relevant experience in financial services.
• International experience directly in Financial Crime and Compliance audit is required.
• Strong communication and relationship skills appropriate for senior executives.
• Proven leadership ability in managing professional teams and executing an audit plan for a large firm.
