Hays are proud to partner with a very reputable Hobart Charted Accounting firm in their search for an experienced Senior Business Services Accountant. This firm is a leader in providing quality accounting, tax and advisory services to Tasmanian's. With an excellent local presence this national firm, prides itself on it's training and developing their staff.

Your new role
Reporting into a Director, you'll be working and managing a client base of small to medium sized business services clients. You'll ultimately be responsible for all the accounting and business services work, including preparation of financial statements, BAS and tax advisory. You'll liaise directly with clients and also look to give broader advice within a strategic guidance space and be a mentor and leader to the more junior staff within the team.

What you'll need to succeed
As the preferred candidate you'll have a commenced or completed your CA/CPA and have experience in a similar function. You'll have high attention to detail, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and be adaptable to a team environment. You'll have a strong working knowledge of Business Services Accounting gained by practical experience and possess excellent communication skills which enables you to build rapport with clients. This role would be well suited to a candidate with a couple of years post graduate experience who has acted in a Senior Accounting role looking for their first Manager position, or someone who is part Qualified looking to develop their career with an international firm. Candidates need full working rights in Australia and need to be prepared to undergo a national police check prior to commencement.
