The Service Assurance Centre of Expertise is a central unit which delivers high quality integrity-related functions in Quality Assurance, Compliance, Assessments and Feedback services for a Federal Government Agency.
The branch is responsible for:
  • Records inspection, assurance and verification, primarily for Disability Employment Services
  • Freedom of Information request coordination
  • Assessments, for the National Panel of Assessors
  • Complaints, for all Client Agency programs
  • Tip-off investigations, primarily for Disability Employment Services

Your new role
We are looking for someone with experience in Australian Government Employment Services programs. The successful applicant will be expected to respond positively and flexibly to change and uncertainty and be prepared to work in all areas of the Quality and Compliance team or the Assessment and Feedback team. An understanding of the Disability Employment Services Grant Agreement and its associated guidelines and the ability to relate these to identified issues, applying sound judgement and reasoning, is a must for this position.

We are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes:

    • Ability to conduct assessments and determine eligibility for payments or services in accordance with legislative, policy and procedural frameworks
  • Ability to research and analyse complex information, identify issues, escalate risks and develop solutions, including the ability to critically examine and evaluate information and data in making sound assessments and evidence-based decisions and recommendations
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with demonstrated ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and maintain key stakeholder relationships, contribute to the preparation of a variety of correspondence, and develop and maintain reports
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, ESSWeb and the ability to use, or quickly learn to use, a range of corporate information technology systems and databases to interrogate, extract and record information and data
  • Ability to plan and organise own workload, produce high quality work, meet deadlines and persist with resolution of repetitious queries

This is a contract role to start asap, running through to June 31st 21. On offer is a competitive hourly rate + full time hours + central city location and potential extension for the right candidate.
